Mission & Vision

RLBA is a non-profit, multisectoral, and multi-vocational organization with the ambition to awaken and raise awareness among members of the Afro-Canadian community in Alberta about the root causes of poverty and social precarity in their general situation.

Our Mission

Our mission is to catalyze the emergence of new leadership within the minority Francophone Afro-Canadian community, with a focus on entrepreneurship, in order to play a significant role in the national economy and the reduction of poverty.

Mandate

Our mandate is to create sustainable socio-economic ecosystems based on skills and talents at all levels, aiming to empower individuals and communities as full-fledged members of Canadian society.

Objective

Our objective is to popularize innovative strategies to combat poverty and the social precarity faced by members of the minority Francophone Afro-Canadian community, along with the factors that generate and perpetuate these issues. By doing so, we aim to prevent the consequences of these challenges, including marginalization, a sense of powerlessness, inequity, and violence.
